Mark Latimer will start with Chopin and Chopin's contemporaries such as Alkan, deciphering their variations and improvisations. Delving deeper into this topic, the audience will be introduced to other composers’variations and improvisations,
including Schumann's Variations on Schubert, Mario Berlinguer's Variations on Schumann and Latimer's own Variations/Improvisations on Chopin.
